Depending on who you want to believe, the pandemic is either over or it's just coming back to spoil our autumn and winter; we'll probably soon, very soon, be longing for this "simple" crisis.
Please get in, fasten your seatbelts and don't lean over the bars -the journey begins.
We have the energy crisis, this unspeakable Ukraine war, horrendous inflation, exploding food prices, the great unemployment (incidentally, a book really worth reading!), petrol prices aka moon prices (how we laugh today at the Markus song "ich will Spaß".....kost' Benzin auch 2 Mark 10.....) and so much more that can ruin your day and spoil your mood.
Again and again, we and our teams and employees in the hotels and service centres are being asked to do everything they can to cope with the current situation. Cost savings at all levels and in all conceivable areas, support for our own teams wherever and however possible and close cooperation to get through the next few months.
We as a company, our country Germany and the EU community of states are called upon to stick together in the interests of everyone, to encourage others and to join forces. Then we will also succeed in overcoming the currently uncountable number of crises. But all those mentioned will also use these crises to drive forward urgently needed changes at the fastest possible pace - keyword: renewable energies (by the way: a strange term; when energy is used up, it cannot be renewed....but that's another topic)
We too will change and continue to digitalise and automate processes faster, optimise workflows and continue to question ourselves as to what will make us even more attractive as an employer in the future. Of course, we will not only scrutinise ourselves, but also implement our findings quickly - keyword: 4-day week at halbersbacher.
But the most important thing will be: no crisis lasts forever! Every crisis in the history of our country was and is finite! We are building on this knowledge, starting afresh once again in recent years and looking forward to a new future. This future will be different, it will be better and it will be the result of our experiences from the multiple crises of the recent past.
This knowledge definitely helps me to realise that the light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train.
So, stand together, join forces and stand up to the crisis mob - you can't get past us!
