From November 24th to December 28th, 2025 it will be really Christmassy in downtown Hildesheim: the Hildesheim Christmas market invites you to stroll and enjoy the atmosphere.
The many colorful lights let us get in the right mood for the upcoming Christmas season. The Christmas magic is perfect with mulled wine, punch and roasted almonds. Experience the magic of Advent in Hildesheim with our exclusive Advent special.
In addition to a relaxing time in your Parkhotel Berghölzchen, you can expect (depending on your wishes and availability) on Fridays or Saturdays in the late afternoon a Christmassy city tour through the city center decorated for Christmas. The meeting point is at 5:00 p.m. at the tourist information on the historic market square. From here it goes along the most beautiful stations in the city, above all, of course, the Mariendom and the Michaeliskirche. Everything appears in sparkling lights - the perfect mood for the festival.
After about 1.5 to 2 hours you will reach the market square again, where you can end the tour together with a warming mulled wine or punch. Afterwards you have the opportunity to explore the Hildesheim Christmas market on your own and to take home a nice souvenir or Christmas present at one of the more than 60 stalls.
